In her first public appearance since boyfriend Cory Monteith’s death, Glee star Lea Michele thanked fans for their support at Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards, according to People.com
She tearfully dedicated her win for her role as Rachel Berry to Monteith, who died at 31 in July from a combination of alcohol and heroin.
“I promise that with your love, we’re going to get through this together,” Michele, 26, told the audience at Los Angeles’s Gibson Amphitheatre. "He was very special to me and also to the world, and we were very lucky to witness his incredible talent, his handsome smile and his beautiful, beautiful heart. So whether you knew him personally or just as [his character] Finn Hudson, Cory reached out, and he became a part of all of our hearts and that’s where he’ll stay forever."
May the force be with him: George Lucas is a dad again.
The Star Wars creator and his wife, Ariel Investments president Mellody Hobson, welcomed a daughter via surrogate on Friday, the Huffington Post reports. The new addition joins Lucas’ three adopted children, Amanda, 32; Katie, 25; and Jett, 20.
Always knew it
Jennifer Lawrence says growing up in Kentucky she always knew she would be famous.
The best-actress Oscar winner for Silver Linings Playbook tells the September issue of Vogue magazine that she used to “lie in bed and wonder” about what would make her well-known.
“It wasn’t a vision,” says the 22-year-old. “But as it’s kind of happening, you have this buried understanding: of course.”
