Miami Hurricanes players enjoy first two-a-day session

The Hurricanes had their first two-a-day session Thursday, and coach Al Golden thought it a bit humorous that his players actually enjoyed the double session more than a single one.

“We blow the horn and they’re looking at us like, ‘What do you mean? That’s it?’’ Golden said after the morning session in full pads.


Guard/tackle Malcolm Bunche wore the red noncontact jersey Thursday. His injury was not revealed. Defensive linemen David Perry wore a red jersey and was limping and in a right-knee brace. Cornerback Corn Elder (hamstring) was back without a restricted status, as was defensive end Anthony Chickillo (ankle).


UM added 6-3, 230-pound Oklahoma State transfer defensive end Naim Mustafaa, a freshman from College Park, Ga. Per NCAA rules, he must sit out this season. Mustafaa was rated as a four-star player by and a three-star player by
