Students from elementary to college level who want to share their inspirational ideas for the future should apply by Friday for the third annual TEDxYouth@Miami event at the Adrienne Arsht Center, being held Nov. 22.
Organized by Miami’s Cushman School and TEDxYouth@Miami, the program will be live-streamed internationally. If you are ages 6-25, public, private or home-schooled in South Florida and want to “share an idea that evokes passion, solicits curiosity and ignites creativity in others,’’ go to www.tedxyouthmiami.com.
The selection committee is seeking youths “who have extraordinary voices or other means to share a unique story or unusual perspective, and convey it in a dynamic way.’’
The November event will involve a talk or presentation of three to five minutes before a live audience. The deadline for submission of talk or presentation proposals, via video/CD, is Friday. Talks must be memorized by Sept. 30th when event practices begin.
