A 14-foot python has been removed from a shed in the 1000 block of West 60th Street in Hialeah.
Miami-Dade Countys Antivenom Unit removed the snake Sunday night. It took several people to carry the 100-pounder out.
Lt. Lisa Wood with the anti-venom unit said there was snake skin as well as a skull inside the shed. Neighbors said some rabbits and a cat have gone missing recently, so the snake may be to blame for that.
Its not immediately clear what will happen to the snake.
Florida prohibits owning or selling pythons for use as pets, and federal law bans importation and interstate sale of the species.
