Re Glenn Garvin’s July 20 column, Trayvon Martin was not Emmett Till: It was refreshing to read something that wasn’t written to appease the Al Sharptons of the world. Garvin said that there was no war on black men, at least not by white men. The numbers don’t lie as a study he referenced showed.
Some politicians who voted for the Stand Your Ground law are now jumping on Sharpton’s bandwagon.
Trayvon Martin was not Emmett Till, as some have said. Garvin finds this overheated rhetoric.
