As a former Coral Gables commissioner, I want to shout out my appreciation for the city’s rank-and-file employees who do an excellent job every day with little appreciation.
Times are hard in City Hall, and many are struggling, losing their homes and cars and going without health insurance. Pension reform has become an excuse to punish those who do the majority of the work. I hope and pray for better days for these loyal employees.
