Cory Wild Weston from Dory Funk Jr.’s Funking Conservatory signs WWE developmental deal

 

Cory Wild Weston, who was trained by WWE Hall of Famer Dory Funk Jr. at the Funking Conservatory in (Central Florida) Ocala, signed a developmental deal with WWE for its NXT developmental program at the new state-of-the-art WWE Performance Center in Orlando.

WWE Hall of Famer Gerald Brisco, who lives across I-4 in Tampa, scouted Weston.

• The Amazing Kong along with talent from the Funking Conservatory will be featured at the next !BANG! TV taping Support Your Troops 94 on Friday Aug. 2 at the !BANG! TV Sound Stage in Ocala. Showtime is 7 p.m. with doors opening at 6:15 p.m.
