‘Evil Dead’ comes to Halloween Horror Nights

Miami Herald Staff

Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios will feature the unrelenting evil of the cult film Evil Dead in a series of haunted mazes, the theme park announced Tuesday.

The horror begins when the reading of a passage from an ancient book releases “an unearthly force of darkness,” and visitors must escape from violently-possessed victims who wreak brutal carnage in the mazes, Universal said.

The mazes are the second new feature to be announced for this year’s Halloween Horror Nights. The blood-soaked horror-comedy The Cabin in the Woods will be the theme of a haunted house.

Halloween Horror Nights runs on select nights from Sept. 20 to Nov. 2 at Universal Studios. Tickets, including discounted Florida resident tickets, are available at www.HalloweenHorrorNights.com/Orlando.
