Take that, 40th birthday! Jenny McCarthy has a new boyfriend (Donnie Wahlberg) and a new gig ( The View). Seems the longtime show wants to raunch things up a bit. McCarthy is not known for holding back. The TV personality began her career posing for Playboy and has since starred in sitcoms and appeared in films like Scary Movie 3. McCarthy will take Joy Behar’s spot. There’s one vacancy left since Elisabeth Hasselbeck exited for Fox News Channel.

Life goes on

How will Glee continue without Cory Monteith? Producers are currently figuring that out, reports TheWrap.com.

The Fox show is set to go back into production for its next season at the end of July and back on air Sept. 19. Why Monteith’s lead character, jock-turned-glee-club-singer Finn Hudson, is absent falls on the writers as well. Monteith didn’t appear in the final three episodes of the fourth season; he was in rehab for substance abuse issues. An autopsy was expected Monday. A toxicology report will screen for drugs; medical examiners will also try to determine if Monteith died of natural causes or an injury.

Law enforcement officials already established foul play was not involved and that he died alone in the 21st floor room of the Vancouver Fairmont Pacific Rim Hotel. The Vancouver native’s body was discovered Saturday by hotel staff.

Monteith’s last two Tweets appeared Friday, referencing Sharknado, the Syfy Original Movie about a tornado of sharks.

Power BFF’s

Could politics be in Jay-Z’s future? The rapping mogul said in a radio interview with New York’s Hot97, that he’s tight with President Barack Obama.

“He’s a regular guy. . . . He’s very heavy into sports so a lot of his analogies end up in sports,” said Jay-Z, promoting his new album Contradicting Historical References Magna Carta...Holy Grail. Z’s a busy man, setting out on tour shortly. Blue Ivy’s coming along wherever he and Beyonce go. “She travels well,” dad says of the 1-year-old. “She’s not fidgety, very cool.” Even though Blue is “musically inclined,” Jay Z said not to expect the child in any of his videos, a la Britney Spears.

Rihanna’s legal problems aren’t going away. According to TMZ, she skipped out on various legal depositions, which could end up costing her. The Diamonds crooner is suing her former accountants (Berdon LLP), claiming they mismanaged her money and caused her to be audited by the IRS.

Ri isn’t helping her case by not attending the depositions. Especially the one set for June 19, when she said she was sick to give testimony in London. According to Twitter, Ri was busy watching the Miami Heat play game six of the NBA Finals hours before her appearance. At about 4:15 a.m., Rihanna tweeted “#KINGJAMES.” She also sent out a celebratory retweet saying, “Big up yaself bosh,” in reference to Chris Bosh.

Moving right along

There are so many other fish in the sea in Hollywood, Kristen Stewart is finding out. The New York Post’s Page Six says the actress, though still pining over Rob Pattinson, is now having some summer fun with Boardwalk Empire actor Michael Pitt (no relation to Brad). The two met at Paris Fashion Week and have equally glum pusses. The alleged fling may not sit well with Jamie Bochert, Pitt’s supposed model girlfriend.

Home body

Claire Danes on HGTV? The Homeland actress says she considered a change of careers when she went through a stretch where she couldn’t find a good role.

In an interview for Vogue’s August issue, the 34-year-old says she didn’t work for two years after starring in the 2010 biopic Temple Grandin, playing an activist for autistics and animal rights. Danes calls it a grim experience that left her so hurt that she flirted with a career change. Says Danes: “I really like interior design.”
