Marj O’Neill-Butler and Roger Martin are well-known figures in South Florida’s theater community: She’s an actor, director and stage manager, while he’s a critic and editor of miamiartzine.com. They also happen to be married, and both are playwrights. That latter skill will be on display at 7:30 p.m. Monday in an evening dubbed Women Always Win. Four plays by O-Neill-Butler ( A Bump in the Night, Flight Fright, Missed Connections and Special Delivery) and four by Martin ( In Print, Ladies’ Home Companion, Sea Spray and Pass the Elephant, Please) will get staged readings as part of the South Florida Theatre League’s Summer Reading Series.
Margaret M. Ledford is directing the evening, and Todd Allen Durkin serves as narrator. Doing the reading are Ken Clement, Clay Cartland, Betsy Graver, Christina Groom, Pamela Roza, Angie Radosh and Laura Turnbull.
