The Los Angeles Lakers signed free agent forward/guard Nick Young on Thursday. Per team policy, terms of the deal were not released.

Young, a six-year pro, averaged 10.6 points per game for the Philadelphia Sixers last season, but shot just 41.3 percent.

"At 6-foot-7, Nick's size, ability to create his own shot and athleticism make him a versatile player who will give our lineup multiple looks on the floor. He's an exciting player, and we're excited to have him on our roster," Lakers general manager Mitch Kupchak said.

Young has averaged 11.3 points over 416 career games with the Washington Wizards (2007-2012), Los Angeles Clippers (2012) and Sixers (2012-2013).
