The Phoenix Coyotes re-signed forward Lauri Korpikoski to a four-year contract on Thursday.

Per team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"We are pleased to sign Lauri to a multi-year contract," said Coyotes general manager Don Maloney. "Lauri is an intelligent, two-way forward, an effective penalty killer and an excellent skater. We are excited to have him back with us in Phoenix this season."

Korpikoski, 26, posted six goals and five assists in 36 games with Phoenix last season.

In 336 games over five seasons with the Coyotes and Rangers, Korpikoski has totaled 53 goals and 60 assists. Korpikoski was picked by the Rangers in the first round of the 2004 draft, but was traded to Phoenix in July 2009 in exchange for Enver Lisin.
