Habs sign McCarron

The Montreal Canadiens signed forward Michael McCarron to a three-year, entry-level contract Thursday.

McCarron, the 25th overall pick in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft, posted 14 goals and 20 assists in 55 games with the USHL's US National Development Team last season.

The 18-year-old McCarron also represented Team USA at the 2013 IIHF U18 World Championship last April, tallying three goals and five points in seven contests.
