Chauncey Billups is reportedly headed back to the Detroit Pistons.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Billups has agreed to a two-year contract worth $5 million. The second year is said to be a team option.

Billups played for Detroit from 2002-2008 and was the NBA Finals MVP when the Pistons beat the Los Angeles Lakers in the spring of 2004. He was dealt to Denver early in the 2008-09 season and has also played for the Knicks and Clippers since.

In 22 games last season for the Clippers, Billups averaged 8.4 points and 2.2 assists. He played just 20 games in 2011-12 for the Clippers before suffering a torn Achilles tendon in February 2012.

The Colorado product, who will turn 37 in September, began his NBA career with Boston in the 1997-98 season and also played for Toronto, Denver and Minnesota before first joining the Pistons for the 2002-03 campaign.

Billups, a five-time All-Star, has averaged 15.4 points, 5.5 assists and 2.9 rebounds over 1,204 NBA games, including 930 starts.
