Hialeah man wins $1,000 A Week for Life in $2 scratch off game

 

A Hialeah man has claimed the top prize in the $1,000 A Week for Life $2 Scratch-Off game, the Florida Lottery announced Wednesday.

Reinier Oliva, 31, traveled to Tallahassee and chose to receive the winnings as a one-time, lump-sum payment of $797,428.84.

He purchased his winning Scratch-Off ticket at Cigarette Mart at 2319 West 52nd St., lottery officials said.

The $2 game was launched in February. There is one $1,000 A Week for Life top prizes remaining in the game.

The overall odds of winning a prize are one in 4.46.
