MDX out of control

Kudos to state Rep. Jeannette Nuñez for her June 30 letter, MDX is overstepping its boundaries. MDX has spun out of control. It operates without regard for the customers its decisions affect and answers to no one.

It is a clear case of an unchecked private “corporation” operating on public roads. We have to take back our expressway system from this organization and make it accountable to the people it is supposed to serve.

I will contact Ms. Nuñez and offer my time and efforts to help with this cause.

Last year, a non-binding straw ballot question was put to Miami-Dade voters that asked whether the county should raise property taxes to help fund enhanced animal services in our community. Voters strongly supported the question posed and the idea of saving pets’ lives. Unfortunately, the voters were given only one choice to make: raise taxes to provide for animal welfare or let the pets die. 1373581197
