I agree 100 percent with Rodolfo Pages’ July 4 letter, Lousy sportsmanship, and his take on Jeffrey Loria and Stephen Ross as well as his praise of the Miami Heat and its owner. However, I don’t agree on his insulting the teams and calling the Marlins a joke. The players have no control over the owners and managers they are dealt.
The Marlins is a group of awesome young men trying their best and, in case he hasn’t noticed, they have been playing very well, among the best in MLB right now. I know the Dolphins have had their issues, too, but how I described the Marlins players applies to the Fins, too. The teams should be supported with our hearts.
So as Pages takes on Loria and Ross, leave it with the owners, not the members of the team just trying their best and providing us good entertainment.
