The Carolina Hurricanes re-signed center Riley Nash to a two-year, two-way contract Tuesday.

The deal will pay Nash $550,000 at the NHL level or $135,000 on the AHL level.

The 24-year-old Nash posted career highs with four goals and five assists in 32 games last season.

Nash was the Edmonton Oilers' first-round pick (21st overall) in 2007 and made his NHL debut for Carolina in 2011-12, when he had an assist in five games.
