The Jacksonville Jaguars signed Denard Robinson on Tuesday.

The Jaguars picked the former Michigan quarterback in the fifth round of this year's draft. Sporting jersey No. 29, Robinson is listed as an offensive weapon on the club's roster.

Robinson was a four-year letterman at Michigan where he played in 49 games with 37 starts, including two as a running back.

He set the NCAA record for single-season rushing yards by a quarterback (1,702) in 2010, and ended his career with the most rushing yards by a quarterback in NCAA history with 4,495.

Robinson is the fourth player in NCAA history to gain 2,000 yards passing and 1,000 yards rushing in a season twice in his career (2010, 2011). Brad Smith (Missouri), Joe Webb (UAB) and Colin Kaepernick (Nevada) also accomplished the feat.
