Dr. Robert Goldszer, chief medical officer at Mount Sinai Medical Center in Miami Beach, honors ER resident Benjamin Abo, center, with the help of David A. Farcy of the Emergency Department on Wednesday, July 3. Abo is being honored for his heroic acts on June 19, 2013, in New York City, when he was vacationing there and rescued a man who had fallen onto subway train tracks while having a seizure. Abo and another good Samaritan pulled the victim from the train tracks seconds before a subway train zoomed into the station. The victim regained consciousness after being lifted back onto the platform and was taken to a local hospital.
