Chicago Fire forward Mike Magee was voted Major League Soccer's Player of the Month on Wednesday for the month of June.

Since joining the Fire in May following a trade from the Los Angeles Galaxy, Magee has scored in each of his team's four league matches, helping the Fire go unbeaten (3-0-1) during the month of June.

Magee contributed to the team's offense from the start, scoring the insurance goal in his Fire debut, a 2-0 win against D.C. United on June 2. The following week, Magee helped Chicago come back from two goals down to tie the Portland Timbers on June 8.

With the Fire down 1-0 to the Colorado Rapids on June 19, Magee chipped a penalty kick into the back of the net, sparking another come from behind victory for the Fire.

In the Fire's last league game of the month, Magee scored the game-winning goal and recorded an assist in a 2-1 victory over the Columbus Crew.

This is Magee's second Player of the Month recognition this year; as a member of the LA Galaxy, he was voted Player of the Month for March 2013.

The award is selected each month of the regular season by journalists from the North American Soccer Reporters.

Following are the 2013 MLS Player of the Month winners:

March: Mike Magee (Los Angeles Galaxy)

April: Jack McInerney (Philadelphia Union)

May: Jack McInerney (Philadelphia Union)

June: Mike Magee (Chicago Fire)
