db Bistro Moderne, 255 Biscayne Blvd. Way, Miami, launches dbQ, a weekly summer grilling series, from 5 to 8 p.m. July 12. Chef Matthieu Godard will man the grill on the restaurant’s terrace, offering a changing assortment of items for $7-$9. Wash it down with half-price drinks; 305-421-8800.

Chef-owner Pascal Oudin will celebrate Bastille Day at Pascal’s on Ponce, 2611 Ponce de Leon Blvd., Coral Gables, on July 13 with a three-course bistro menu available from 6 to 11 p.m. for $65.95; 305-444-2024.

    Chef Allen class spotlights July 25th Taste of Nation

    Taste of the Nation South Florida, a first-time Miami-Dade and Broward collaboration, is set for July 25 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Chef Allen Susser, a longtime leader of the chefs’ hunger-fighting fundraiser, plans to whet appetites with a free cooking class at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whole Foods Market, 6701 Red Rd., Coral Gables.

    Brasileiro, a Brazilian-fusion steakhouse and lounge, is set to open July 12 in the old Porcao space at the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel,801 Brickell Bay Dr., Miami.
