Mercadito, 3252 NE First Ave., Miami, is inviting guests to design their own margaritas this summer. Choose from more than 50 types of tequila (prices vary), opt for fruit ($1.50), add a splash of mezcal ($3) or spice it up with free heat. The traditional version is $10.50; 786-369-0430.

Chef Allen class spotlights July 25th Taste of Nation

Taste of the Nation South Florida, a first-time Miami-Dade and Broward collaboration, is set for July 25 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Chef Allen Susser, a longtime leader of the chefs’ hunger-fighting fundraiser, plans to whet appetites with a free cooking class at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whole Foods Market, 6701 Red Rd., Coral Gables.
Brasileiro opens July 12, Cypress Room adds lunch July 15

Brasileiro, a Brazilian-fusion steakhouse and lounge, is set to open July 12 in the old Porcao space at the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel,801 Brickell Bay Dr., Miami.
