Re the June 29 story Broward businessman recalls captivity in China: I wonder if Chip Starnes is aware that he could have built his factory in this country, employed Americans, maybe even returning war veterans, and not worried about being taken hostage because of labor strife.
Just think, the ransom paid and losses incurred could have gone to his bottom line. I bet local authorities would have even helped protect him if his safety were threatened.
What a shame!
