One person was killed and two more were injured Friday evening when a pickup truck collided with a car in a North Miami neighborhood.
One of the drivers sped through a stop sign at the intersection of Northeast 142nd Street and Northeast 10th Avenue, police told Miami Herald news partner CBS-4.
The car, a Buick, caught fire moments after the crash.
People who saw it burning rushed over to help, witnesses said to CBS-4, but the flames spread too fast.
A passenger inside the car died.
Rescuers airlifted both drivers to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.
Police had not released the names of anyone involved in the crash by late Friday night.
