New links for Mexican chains

Salsa Fiesta, a homegrown fast-casual Mexican chain, opened its fourth location this week at 35 N. Federal Hwy., Fort Lauderdale. The outlet serves breakfast beginning at 8 a.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m. on weekends. It’s open until 9 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday; 954-763-3436, salsafiestagrill.com.

Zona Fresca, another South Florida-based fast-casual Mexican chain, unveils its fourth location at 11 a.m. Friday at 1410 N. University Dr., Coral Springs; 954-227-2828, zonafresca.com.

Chef Allen class spotlights July 25th Taste of Nation

Taste of the Nation South Florida, a first-time Miami-Dade and Broward collaboration, is set for July 25 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Chef Allen Susser, a longtime leader of the chefs’ hunger-fighting fundraiser, plans to whet appetites with a free cooking class at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whole Foods Market, 6701 Red Rd., Coral Gables.
Brasileiro opens July 12, Cypress Room adds lunch July 15

Brasileiro, a Brazilian-fusion steakhouse and lounge, is set to open July 12 in the old Porcao space at the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel,801 Brickell Bay Dr., Miami. Serving lunch and dinner daily, the restaurant will offer all-you-can-eat rodizio for $39 plus an a la carte menu by chef Guily Booth (Local House, YUCA, Cafeina); 786-502-3829, brasileiromiami.com.
