July 30 is National Lasagna Day, according to Brio Tuscan Grille, which is offering full portions of its Lasagna Bolognese Al Forno at half price ($9.08) that day. Taste of the Nation South Florida, a first-time Miami-Dade and Broward collaboration, is set for July 25 at the Loews Miami Beach Hotel. Chef Allen Susser, a longtime leader of the chefs’ hunger-fighting fundraiser, plans to whet appetites with a free cooking class at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Whole Foods Market, 6701 Red Rd., Coral Gables.
Brasileiro, a Brazilian-fusion steakhouse and lounge, is set to open July 12 in the old Porcao space at the Four Ambassadors Suites Hotel,801 Brickell Bay Dr., Miami. Serving lunch and dinner daily, the restaurant will offer all-you-can-eat rodizio for $39 plus an a la carte menu by chef Guily Booth (Local House, YUCA, Cafeina); 786-502-3829, brasileiromiami.com.
