Carnival Cruise Lines is trying to win travel agents over with a new program called Carnival Conversations.
The move comes less than two weeks after parent company Carnival Corp. announced that it was bringing former Carnival Cruise Lines president and CEO Bob Dickinson back as a consultant to examine travel agent relationships with the company’s North American brands.
The Miami-based cruise line said the effort will include road shows, agency visits and daily chances to give feedback on GoCCL.com. A campaign to promote the program starts July 1.
“Many travel agents have expressed that they’re frustrated with changes we’ve made in recent years,” Lynn Torrent, Carnival’s executive vice president of sales and guest services, said in a statement. “Our goal with Carnival Conversations is to do a better job of listening and responding to travel agents regularly so that we're on top of the issues that matter to them most.”
