The team may be named the Heat, but because of the never-give-up way that team members played, perhaps their name should be “Heart.”
They lost the opening game to San Antonio, but came back to win Game 2. They were crushed by 36 points in Game 3, but came back to win game 4.
Then with their backs against the wall, trailing 3 games to 2, they came back to win the next two games at home, including the miraculous victory in Game 6 when they trailed by 5 points with 28 seconds remaining, but came back to win in overtime.
I never saw a team with so much heart. Defeat just wasn’t in their vocabulary.
