Man riding bicycle shot dead on Miami street

Police are searching for suspects in the fatal shooting of man ambushed as he rode his bike on a Miami street Tuesday night.

The victim, in his 20s, was apparently shot several times while pedaling his bike. Wounded, he ran to a nearby home for help along Northwest 58th Street and 13th Avenue, police said.

Officers responded around 8:40 p.m. when police received several 911 calls from witnesses and people who tried to help the victim.

The man, who was not identified, was to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center, where he died.

The motive for the shooting is unknown.
