Let Nan Rich speak

Re the June 2 article Rich plays ‘true Democrat’ card: I’ve been a proud member of the Democratic Party for more than 50 years and served as an elected public official for more than 25 years, including mayor of Miramar and Weston.

Sen. Nan Rich, a former state legislator for 12 years and the only woman leader of the Democratic Party in the Senate, has earned the right, as a candidate for governor, to speak at the Jefferson-Jackson dinner.

For the Democratic Party to deny her the right to speak for five minutes at the dinner isn’t only outrageous, but also undemocratic.
