Death of 4-year-old Coral Springs boy called suspicious

Coral Springs police are investigating the “suspicious” death of a 4-year-old boy.

Police were called to apartment 202 of a complex on the 9000 block of Northwest 28th Drive before noon after receiving “hang up” calls from the home, said Sgt. Carla Kmiotek, a department spokeswoman. When they arrived, they found the body of 4-year-old Antwan Hope.

Police are awaiting a determination by the Broward Medical Examiner’s Office on the cause of Antwan’s death, Kmiotek said. The child’s death, she added, was “suspicious in nature.”
