The Frist Center for the Visual Arts in Nashville on Friday opens Sensuous Steel: Art Deco Automobiles, an exhibition of unique and luxurious autos from the 1930s and ’40s. Sensuous Steel includes 18 automobiles and two motorcycles drawn from some of the most renowned car collections in the world. Also on view is a 1929 Cord once owned by Frank Lloyd Wright and a 1935 Stout Scarab that anticipated the first minivan. The exhibit runs through Sept. 15.
