Actor Philip Seymour Hoffman admits rehab for heroin


Philip Seymour Hoffman is a respected indie actor who barely makes headlines for his private life so it was a shocker to hear that he had recently checked out of a rehab for snorting heroin.

TMZ reports that the Oscar winner ( Capote) had substance abuse problems in the past that had recently resurfaced. Hoffman had been using heroin for about a week when he decided to admit himself, the site reports. Hoffman has three children with his longtime partner, Mimi O’Donnell.

Napster co-founder and early Facebook advisor Sean Parker is set to marry singer and songwriter Alexandra Lenas in California’s Big Sur region on Saturday.
