Miami Lakes Mayor Michael Pizzi, 50, also known as the "Brooklyn Brawler," has received medical clearance to train at a local boxing gym for his Aug. 16 MMA bout against 50-year-old Hialeah Mayor Carlos Hernandez. The stocky 5-foot 8-inch, 200-pound Pizzi, who is also the town attorney for Medley, has embarked on a grueling exercise regimen that starts at each day at 5 a.m.
