Job seekers will have the opportunity next week to find employment and sharpen their resume at the First Annual South Dade Community Job Fair.

Organized by the Miami-Dade commissioners and Miami Dade College, the June 5th event will also offer the unemployed workshops to enhance their marketability, including practice on interview skills and resume writing.

“In this economic downturn, I am delighted to help bring employers eager to meet with prospective employees, as well as employment experts with the purpose of sharpening the professional skills of future job applicants and students alike,” said commission Vice Chair Lynda Bell.

Entry is free. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 500 College Terrace, Buildings D&G in Homestead.
