Weather alert: Highs to reach 90 Friday afternoon; cool-off expected Saturday night

 

Miami Heat players aren’t the only hot ones. If you head outside Friday and the holiday weekend, be prepared to bake.

High temperatures Friday are forecast to reach 90. On Saturday, the highs will be in the mid- to upper-80s.

“The heat is on today...literally, with highs soaring to the low 90s, flirting with record heat,” CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said on Facebook.

By Saturday night, lows will dip to thelow-70s, with a breeze.

This weekend and through Memorial Day on Monday, rip current risk will increase along with steady winds, according to the National Weather Service.
