Charity chow-downs: RA Sushi, Florida Cookery, Mercadito


RA Sushi, 5829 SW 73rd St., in South Miami, host its ninth annual Nicky’s Week fundraiser Sunday through June 1, with 100 percent of the proceeds from the sale of edamame, Tootsy Maki, shrimp nigiri, pork gyoza and other designated items going to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital; 305-341-0092.

Florida Cookery at The James Royal Palm, 1545 Collins Ave., Miami Beach, is donating 5 percent of lunch proceeds Monday through Thursday to Slow Food Miami’s Edible School and Community Gardens programs; 786-276-0333.

Suzy Buckley’s Taco de Albondiga ($16.50 for four) is the Taco for Strength at Mercadito Midtown, 3252 NE First Ave., Miami, through May, with 5 percent of proceeds going to Share Our Strength’s campaign against childhood hunger; 786-369-0430.
