Florida Gator Gillislee signs rookie deal with Miami Dolphins

The University of Florida’s Mike Gillislee became the latest Miami Dolphins draft pick to sign with the team, agreeing to a four-year rookie deal expected to pay an estimated $2.3 million.

Gillislee, the 164th pick in last month’s draft, is expected to compete with Lamar Miller and Daniel Thomas for playing time in the Dolphins’ backfield. As a senior at Florida, Gillislee rushed for over 1,100 yards and scored 10 touchdowns.

He becomes the fifth member of this year’s draft class to sign with the Dolphins. Dion Jordan, the No. 3 overall pick, is one of the four who remain unsigned.
