Let me out of GOP

The Republicans are committing political suicide with the Benghazi attacks. If a troop of defenders were on site with weapons to kill the attackers, it would have been an impossible dilemma to talk our way out of and could have possibly been the end of the diplomatic system.

We could not have gotten a troop of defenders to the site quick enough, and would possibly have sent all those men to their death as the irate citizens in that country would have asked for the heads of our defenders. Remember Iran!

Republicans are kicking a dead horse. I want a two-party system, but with intelligence on both sides. We have a bunch of drooling idiots running our once quality Republican Party. I want out!

Miami Dade College has critical unmet financial needs

The recent exchange of words between the president of Miami Dade College and some members of the Miami-Dade legislative delegation was unfortunate, but it has focused our community’s attention on the critical unmet financial needs of MDC. I’m confident that our legislative leaders will rise above the fray and do what is right for our community.

  • Go Heat, but . . .

Your April 17 story The Heat Unites Us was very optimistic, and that is admirable and to be expected for journalists at a local newspaper like Miami Herald.

  • Restore libraries
