Toddler in serious condition after hit-run in Fort Lauderdale

A toddler was seriously injured in a hit-and-run accident in front of his Fort Lauderdale home, according to police.

The driver was in a red Volkswagen Beetle, traveling south in the 5200 block of Northeast 18th Avenue.

The boy was in serious condition at Broward Health Medical center as of Wednesday evening, police said.

Police asked anyone with information about the accident to call investigator Jill Hirsch at 954-828-5753.
