I recently spent a few days in Washington, D.C. I was amazed by this beautiful place: Impressive architecture, beautifully laid out, lovely large vistas filled with cherry trees, the Potomac, incredible museums, public transport that works well in clean streets and stations.
What a wonderful place to be.
Of course, members of Congress feel comfortable at our showcase city, where they know they are set for life: a good salary, healthcare and an assured retirement income,
No wonder it is easy for them to forget about those of us who put them there and why they are there.
