When you’re hot, you’re haute.
Haute Living magazine honored a good chunk of the city’s major players Thursday evening in a big way — first on a yacht, then at a dinner at spanking-new Cipriani Downtown at the Icon Brickell.
Editors compiled a list of who they believed were Miami’s biggest influencers for their Haute 100 list.
See all the usual-suspect names in the current issue — think Michael Bay, Pitbull, Helio Castroneves as well as society types.
Among those who showed up at the affair were Basketball Wives Savannah Brinson, Tracy Mourning and Adrienne Bosh, who is said to be expecting again.
Hotelier Keith Menin was happy to be there: “I like to bring a smile to anyone who walks in the room.”
Standing quietly by the bar were Real Housewives of Miami stars Lea Black and Joanna Krupa with fiance Romain Zago. The photogenic couple said they were just about finished filming season 3. “The suffering is almost over,” said Zago, laughing.
Their wedding date is set for June 13, they said.
Speaking of big plans, John Legend and Chrissy Teigen may not make it down the aisle in Miami Beach, as had been rumored.
The two are having some issues. The New York Post reports that the singer was locked in an embrace with a comely female in Manhattan recently, and Teigen isn’t happy, tweeting: “I honestly think so many more of us would get along if you didn’t want to [bleep] my fiancé.”
The model also lashed out at the Post, saying she was going to buy a bird so that it could “use the facilities” (not the word she used) on the paper.
Legend is currently developing the HBO drama Down Lo, set in South Beach about fame, partying and homosexuality, reports Deadline.com.
