Notes
The have been 52 Nationwide races at Darlington. The series competed at this track once each season from 1982-83 and then twice each year from 1984-2004 before returning to one event there per season in 2005.
Mark Martin holds the record for most Nationwide wins at Darlington with eight. Martin is not entered in this year's race. Matt Kenseth's three victories there is the most among those driver on the entry list for this event.
Joey Logano won at Darlington last year. Logano wrecked Elliott Sadler after a restart in the closing laps and then grabbed the lead from his then Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, Denny Hamlin, during a green-white-checkered finish to win the race. Logano is now driving for Penske Racing in both the Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series.
The Nationwide race winner at Darlington has started from the pole 12 times, which is more than any other starting position there. Kyle Busch last did it in 2011.
Jack Roush has the most Nationwide car owner wins at Darlington with 15, followed by Joe Gibbs with seven.
Since NASCAR began using electronic timing and scoring in 1993, the closest margin of victory in a Nationwide race at Darlington occurred on March 21, 1998 when Bobby Labonte beat Jeff Burton to the finish line by just 0.066 seconds.
Kyle Busch scored his first career Nationwide pole at Darlington on March 20, 2004. Jimmie Johnson's first pole in the series came at this track on May 6, 2005. Johnson is not on the entry list for this year's race there.
No active driver has won his or hers first Nationwide race at Darlington.
