Weather alert: Cool mornings and nights Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the 60s

Miami Herald Staff Report

South Florida is feeling a touch of winter Monday morning. At least by our standards.

Morning lows are in the low- to mid-60s.

“This is going to sound strange for me to suggest for early May, but you will want to take a light sweater since we are waking up with cooler weather this morning,” CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said on Facebook. “Yay! Feels nice.”

By afternoon, temperatures will climb to the low-80s.

But the cool will return Monday night, with lows back in the 60s.

The pattern will continue on Tuesday.

Forecasters predict sunny skies all week.
