Matthew Rosenberg’s April 29 article, CIA funnels millions to Afghan leaders’ office, states that “for more than a decade, the United States has dropped off money every month or so at the offices of Afghanistan’s president courtesy of the Central Intelligence Agency.”
I’m appalled that my tax dollars are directed in this manner. Our young men and women still are dying in Iraq and Afghanistan, veterans aren’t getting the care they need and we are in a deficit mode with furloughed air-traffic controllers and the closing of national parks. Not to mention our education system.
Where are our priorities?
We are the United States of America and we should endeavor to care for and nurture our own citizens.
