The African-American Performing Arts Community Theatre is putting on a production of ‘Anne and Emmett’ at the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center in Liberty City. The play imagines a meeting between Anne Frank, who died at age 15 inside the Bergen-Belsen concentration camp during the Holocaust, and Emmett Till, who was 14 years old in 1955 when he was murdered for reportedly flirting with a white woman in Mississippi. The showtimes are 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and 3 p.m. on Sundays through May 12. Tickets are $20. The center is located at 6161 NW 22nd St. For more information, visit www.aapact.com.
