Miami ranked second only to Los Angeles for foreign consumers shopping for U.S. properties on Realtor.com in March. That was up from fourth place in popularity in February, according to the Miami Association of Realtors.

Fort Lauderdale ranked No. 8 among non-U.S. consumers on Realtor.com in March.

After the United States, the top source countries for consumers searching for Miami properties on Miamire.com was Canada, followed by Brazil, Colombia, Venezuela and Argentina. France ranked No. 7; India was No. 8; Germany was No. 9; and Ecuador, No. 10, the Miami Association of Realtors said.

Miami was the favorite U.S. city for Realtor.com searches originating in Switzerland, Italy and Spain in March.
