Driver dies after pickup truck flips in I-75 crash

A Miami-Dade driver died in a crash on Interstate 75 after a car struck his Chevy pickup and it went out of control and flipped, according to the Florida Highway Patrol

Edward Barralaga, 53, died on the highway at the Sheridan Street exit ramp Wednesday afternoon.

Lauren Kaye Sculthorpe of Davie was traveling south on I-75 when she struck the rear of Barralaga’s truck, according to FHP. After overturning, the pickup came to a stop on the exit ramp shoulder.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Two right lanes and the eastbound ramp to Sheridan were shut down for more than four hours.
