Everyone who pays property and federal income taxes in Florida should rethink their votes for state legislators when it comes to Medicaid funds. The federal government wants to return $9.8 billion to our state to provide medical care for 1.1 million people. If not, the burden for their uninsured care will fall on the people who pay property taxes. First, we lose our income tax funds through the federal funding to another state and then we must pay increased property taxes.
Sounds like a lose/lose to me, and taxation without represention from our state legislators.
